Disclaimer & Rules of Conduct
Disclaimer
Parents and their children that attend class should acknowledge that martial arts training is a physical activity and learning self defence skills involves some physical contact. Ninja Kids, Simon Yeo and any of his staff and students are not to be held liable or responsible for any risks and or injuries that may occur as a result of training in martial arts. They should also agree to follow and adhere to the rules and guidelines of the school.
Hygiene
Please make sure both finger and toe nails are short. Also please ensure that all suits are clean and freshly washed.
Discipline
I run a moderately disciplined class. But my class is not discipline led and the idea is that the children should want to attend the class, not be fighting with parents or nannies about not wanting to attend after three weeks. In the past I feel that some parents have differed to me over the disciplining of their wayward child. This is not my role and I believe discipline and good behaviour begins at home. Within that I do not tolerate poor behaviour in class.
Learning
To be good at martial arts techniques need to be repeated multiple times. I prefer the idea of being really good at a few moves, rather than less than average at a lot of them.
